Organisation Chart

I have created an Organisation chart of my school. the only problem is that my chart shows the managment side of the school because my role as a Lead Mentor I am classed as Middle Management within the school. With this in mind I need to create another chart displaying where I am in relation to ICT teaching and I am worried that this is going to be well over my aloted words.

I have decided to create a hierarchy Pyrimid using colours to identify links to my role and then I will use a flow chart to decribe my interation with all of the different department.

Tuesday 7th Oct 08

Today at school I attended a ICT Staff meeting with a LEA Advisor discussing Improving Teaching and Learning. The meeting was very useful and I found it gave me a lot of ideas of how I would improve my lessons. Here are a few notes:

• When students are completing their learning logs at the beginning of the lesson I will discuss as we type the objective.
• The learning outcomes are going to be colour coded i.e Level 3 (Red Font) Level 4 (Blue Font)
• Level 5 (Green Font) and Level 6 (Purple Font).
• My colour levels will be displayed all aroud the classroom to remind the students as to what level they are working at.

I have a meeting next week for AFL (Assessment for Learning). I will let you know how it goes.

Week 3 Phew

I have read all the literature needed to complete my next tasks. I felt towards the end of last week that I was beginning to understand the route I was going to take. My main concerns are as follows:

• I am not sure whether my Day in the life is going to direct me in the right direction.
• I do not fully understand how I am going to develop a whole years learning into that first task
• I am worried that I am not thinking anaylitcally enough within my tasks to gain maximum marks

I will go back into Plone and try to read again the Module Outline.

Is it just me or when you recieve feedback, do you have to read it about 5 times and then try to break it down into your way of thinking. It has been 20 years since I studied and I am slowly getting back on the bike !!

The next day!

After spending 12 hrs in front of my laptop yesterday, I am now suffering in bed.

• How I need a dictionary to read most articles

This is going to be a journey. I may need a piggy back at certain points, but I feel sure I am in good hands and hopefully I will be able to help others in their time of need.
